Did I know my first wedding as lead photographer was going to be stressful? Yes. Did I know that photographing all the intricacies of Indian weddings can be particularly stressful? Yes. Did I throw my soul to the wind and decide to combine the two anyway? Ohhhh yes… In a move that makes other wedding photographers sigh with pity, the first wedding I ever led was a 2-day Indian-English merger, with all the beauty and colour and noise and crazy chaos of the Punjabi celebrations on the first day.
I think I spent my time with Parv, Meg and their families equally torn between feeling overwhelmed and uncontrollably excited, but let me tell you I am SO PROUD of the result. This may have been my first ever wedding as lead photographer, but I still look back on the photos all these years later and smile at all the amazing moments I was honoured to capture.
