A mehndi is the pre-party to an Indian wedding, where the bride and all the women close to her get henna tattoos in preparation for the big day. I knew from the very first photography enquiry that Nuha was going to bring all her excitement and energy to this day, and that’s exactly what I aimed to give as her mehndi photographer!
Now, how Nuha’s brother managed to transform the Mytchett Community Centre into such a vibrant, immersive space will honestly impress me until my dying day. Every guest (and supplier!) gasped in awe as soon as they stepped into the hall. It was the perfect backdrop to having family reunions, taking group photos and eating great food.
At a mehndi party, literally everyone is invited apart from the groom, so we got to see the groom’s family (who are Polish!) get immersed in all the culture, too.
All in all, this mehndi was a beautiful, colourful, laughter-filled evening photographing everything for the wonderful Nuha – the dreamiest bride of all!

What’s special about you as an events photographer?
I think there are two key things that make me stand out:
1. My Stealth Mode (coined by a couple back in 2021!) is my superpower. I seem to be nowhere, and yet I’m somehow everywhere. This means my candids are elite!
2. I edit in a style that is timeless, but it still has an edge. It will wow now just as much as it wows in years to come.
Where are you based?
I am based in East London, and typically work all over London, but I am absolutely up for taking my events photography elsewhere in the UK.
When will we get our photos back?
My promise to you is that you will get your beautiful gallery of wedding photos back within 3 weeks of your event, but in reality, it’s usually a lot sooner (it just depends on how far into the wedding photography season we are!)
